Karell is one of the courtesans created by the Primordial God known as the "Desolate Star", a chaotic deity whose coutesans harbor all sorts of strange physical and emotional attributes and serve no specific purpose. Owing to her lazy nature, Karell was caught by surprise and with minimal effort by the Space Federation, which promptly labeled her one of the least hazardous courtesans and put her under the care of Captain Aiden.

An exclusive weapon for Karrell, the Octopus Mimic. Strictly speaking, this isn't a weapon at all, but a tonic of extraordinary quality brewed by the Kars, the longest-living race in the universe. Its distinct flavor is splendid beyond compare, making it one of Karrell's favorite refreshments. When she drinks enough of it, it stimulates her powers. As it happens, much as Karrell often appears to be on the verge of nodding off, alcohol actually doesn't affect her at all.
